Kicking an Artist’s Career Off The Right Way

Bri Fletcher came to Venture seeking a partner to help launch her music career. A longtime Instagram influencer, Bri wanted to make sure a group of singles was released in a way that could provide a strong base for her future in the music industry.

The Venture team worked with Bri to provide paid & organic marketing strategies for single and music video releases, as well as assisting her in the creation of visual assets, from album covers and editing photoshoots to merch design.

On the data end, Venture’s media team was laser focused on Spotify growth for Bri, ensuring that her growth on the platform  was as algorithmically healthy as possible. Utilizing our unique playlisting and growth strategies, we were able to carve out a consistent listener base for Bri’s releases, topping out at over 40k monthly listeners on Spotify. Our strategy revolved around placing Bri’s music around similar artists within her genre on curated playlists and sending targeted ads to said playlists. In doing this, we were able to inform Spotify’s algorithm and push Bri’s music to Discovery Weekly and Radio playlists, helping people organically discover her music.

Importantly, our strategy informed Spotify of other similar artists to Bri, ensuring algorithmic growth even after Bri’s campaign with Venture had ended. This also increased Bri’s visibility to Spotify’s editorial team, landing her on various Spotify Official playlists, including “New Music Nashville.”
